Santa Clara University Engagement Photography | Song and Johnny (Part I)

It was my first time visiting the Santa Clara University campus so I enjoyed seeing the place and discovering the beautiful buildings and landscaping.  Throughout the shoot there was so much love between the couple, and I can tell their personalities complement each other so well.  Song was such a natural when it came to posing that I think she could go into modeling as a second career.  This is the first part of their engagement pictures so be on the lookout for part two.

De Young Museum and Baker Beach San Francisco Engagement Photography | Stephanie & James

The couple will be getting married in early September so they have just about 2 months to plan their entire wedding.  I don't think I've ever met a couple who has so little time to do that, but so far, they're making good progress.  Luckily, we were able to find time to get some engagement shots done at Baker Beach and the De Young Museum.

Coyote Point San Mateo Children Photography: Jack and Tyler

I've been to the museum at Coyote Point many times in the past few years for field trips with my students, and the Magic Mountain playground is always a big hit with the kids.  Jack is a former student so it was nice seeing him interact with his younger brother outside of school.

Tyler was so spontaneous and had all these things he wanted to do during the shoot that he was practically the director.  For the following image, he originally wanted to take his Crocs off, but then changed his mind.

They probably had the most fun on the playground.  This is one of my favorites.

Watch out or I will kick you!

Cloudy vs Sun

Cloudy days can be nice once in awhile because of their calming nature.

But sunlight can create beautiful colors and leave you breathless.

Baker Beach San Francisco Family Photography | Wong-Aoyama Session

Last Saturday was cold, windy, and cloudy at San Francisco's Baker Beach when I first arrived at around 3:30.  I returned to the beach a few hours later to see the sun coming out, which was nice.  It was still very cold and windy so it was very brave of the two families for withstanding the chilly temperature.  They also brought along their cute family dog.
