Redwood Shores Family Portraits | Manzi & Tien Families

Last week I met up with two wonderful families, the Manzi and Tien families, in Redwood Shores for some reunion photos.  There was also a lot to celebrate as there were two college graduates and one high school graduate who were ready to embark on the next journey of their lives.

The Shores is a nice, tranquil community within Redwood City, and the weather that day was just right (minus the strong wind at times).  

San Mateo Japanese Tea Garden Family Photography | Camdyn & Cousins

For Camdyn's last session, her cousins were in town so Camdyn's mom had a great idea to put them together to get a few fun shots at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Mateo.  They were so cute together.  The last time I saw Ethan he was still a baby, and I was so glad to have finally met Katelyn and Emily.  It's amazing how fast kids grow.  Camdyn is also growing up.  At her previous session she didn't have any teeth yet and now she has a few in the front and sitting up really well.

San Francisco Wedding Photography

Here's another wedding I assisted for Chung Li Photography.  The bride got ready at Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco's Japantown, and the hotel was beautifully designed and decorated.  It was certainly a wedding to remember as the reception was held on a ship to match their nautical theme.

 

San Jose Baby Newborn Session | Baby Ella

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure to take some photos of Baby Ella in the family's San Jose home.  I've been so used to taking pictures of children when they're several months old that I forgot how tiny a newborn baby can be.  Baby Ella was awake during the first part of the session, but she easily fell asleep once we laid her down on her stomach.

 

Sunnyvale Baby 8-Month Session | Baby Jordan

I can't believe it's already time for Jordan's 8-month session!  We didn't think we would be able to do it because of rain earlier in the day, but once it stopped we quickly drove to Washington Park in Sunnyvale to get a few shots.  He's able to sit up on his own and recently began crawling too.  Whenever he crawls it looks like he wants to stand up so I'm not surprised if he'll do that real soon.

Palo Alto Stanford Memorial Church Garden Court Hotel Wedding

Another wedding shot for Chung Li Photography, the couple chose to have the ceremony at Stanford Memorial Church in Palo Alto.  The Stanford campus itself has a lot of beautiful architecture, but the inside of the church was gorgeous.  For the reception it was held at the Garden Court Hotel, and the couple's yellow color scheme matched the decor very nicely.

 

 

Pleasanton San Ramon Golf Club Wedding Photography | Wendy & Jeff

I've been very fortunate to be able to help Chung from Chung Li Photography with a few of his weddings last year.  It all started with Wendy and Jeff's wedding in Pleasanton.  They did the traditional Chinese games before the groom was allowed into the bride's house along with the tea ceremony.  The games are always so much fun to watch, and you can tell from the bride's expression that she also enjoyed them.

After the wedding ceremony we headed to downtown Pleasanton for some wedding party shots before going to the reception at the San Ramon Golf Club.  The location had a beautiful lawn area for portraits.
