We spent part of New Year's Eve at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. One of the things I've been wanting to try more of is to use the surrounding area to frame the subject of a picture.
I just sent you an email accidentally instead of a comment. You did a great job framing the photo. Was this a sculpture in the foreground? Whatever it was, it goes along perfectly with the modern feel of the paintings in the background. Wonderful!
I liked the warm geometric shapes and the contrast that the foreground framing creates. You even have contrast created where the paper being held in his hand shows up against his black pants. Very nice!
This picture does have a lot of nice effects to it. It does almost appear as if you are looking through someone else's "eye". At first, I though the tassles were eye lashes, lol!

ReplyDeleteI like the bold colors and the composition. I think people often forget that a picture doesn't have to include the subject's face.
ReplyDeleteI loved the feeling of being behind an object and looking through it at someone . . . must appeal to the voyeur in me, lol.
