Stanford Family Photography | The Benavidez Family

Can't believe this little guy is 1 year old already!  Seems like it was just a few months ago that I did his newborn photos, but it has been an amazing journey to see him grow up and achieve those important milestones . . .  crawling, first tooth, walking.

Ever since he began walking, he's been going at it nonstop with every chance he gets.  During the shoot at Stanford University it was almost as if you can't stop him!  He also loves bubbles so I'm glad we had some available for him to play with.

Santa Barbara Historical Museum Wedding Photography | Kim & Brian

Last month I had the honor to attend Kim & Brian's wedding as a guest, and I just had to bring my camera along to capture some of the beautiful details and happy moments that I knew would occur during the entire event.

Kim and her sisters are very crafty and have such a great sense of style when it comes to event planning.  (This is based off of all the showers I've been to that they planned together.  Each one is always so unique.)  When I arrived at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, I was immediately taken away by how beautiful the place was and how their personalities were reflected in all of the details.

All the best to the happy couple!

San Francisco Golden Gate Park Family Photography | Liu Family

Labor Day is a great time to travel and meet up with family and friends.  I had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with the Liu family that day in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park for some fun shots.  Thank you to my 3 little assistants for helping me make baby J laugh and smile and to the three Liu families for making it so much fun to shoot you guys!

Cypress Albums Handmade Folios

One of my favorite album companies is Cypress Albums because of their beautiful products all handmade with the finest craftsmanship.  The look of their albums and presentation boxes gives off this natural and vintage feel yet unique and sophisticated at the same time.  A few months ago I ordered their folios, which folds into a small book and can be displayed open like a frame to show off wedding, engagement, and family pictures.  I especially like the ribbon in the front that adds a bit of elegance to the folio.  Cypress offers different colors for the cover and ribbon so that you can customize any color combination to your preference.

Hardcover Photo Guestbook Album with Engagement Pictures

An engagement session is a wonderful time to get dressed up and have some photos taken at different locations that are meaningful to the two of you.  Afterwards, you can share the photos with friends and family in your save-the-date cards, on Facebook, and at the reception.  Another option is to showcase some of them in a guestbook album for your guests to sign at the wedding.

We did Kim and Brian's engagement session back in October in San Francisco, and in less than a week they'll be getting married.  I wanted to try a new company for guestbooks and created this one with a photo hardcover, and I love how it has lay flat pages that are thicker than normal paper so that the pages will last for a lifetime.

New 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport

Once in a while it's nice to take photos of something that you don't normally shoot.  I was called upon to get some shots of a new car, which looked amazing under the late evening sun in an empty parking lot in Fremont.  This 2014 Lexus IS 350 is a complete redesign from the previous generation and comes with an F Sport package so the front looks more aggressive than the regular model.  After spending some time with this car I would like to get my hands on one too.
