Fremont Shinn Historical Park, National Wildlife Refuge Portrait Photography | Jodi

A few weeks ago I posted a sneak peek of the portrait session we did with Jodi, and now we're ready to debut more images from her session.  I'm really glad that we decided to shoot at the Shinn Historical Park because there were a lot of different elements that we were able to use, and I especially loved the small Japanese garden it had.  After the park we headed off to the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge.  I chose this place because of the wooden bridges, which I see daily during my weekday commute.  Thanks to Google I was able to figure out how to get there.  Beautiful weather, the right location, and a lovely model . . . a photographer couldn't ask for more.

San Francisco Presidio Fort Point Lovers Lane Portrait Photography | David, Jason, Tik

A few days ago I made a post with some sneak peek photos of the portrait session we did of the guys from Homestead High School. Here are a couple more from last Saturday's session at the Presidio. We all met in high school through a club called FBLA. It's great to see the guys still enjoying themselves and creating lots of laughs years after high school. They were always a fun group of people, and certainly, I had some good laughs myself while shooting.

Fremont Shinn Historical Park, National Wildlife Refuge Portrait Photography {Sneak Peek} | Jodi

Meet Jodi!  We met on Easter Sunday to take some portraits, and the weather was absolutely lovely, just like her.  Jodi mentioned beforehand that she wasn't good with posing, but she was very natural and comfortable in front of my camera, which made it hard to choose just a few pictures for the sneak peek of her session.  I spent a lot of time trying to find the right place, and it wasn't until a few days before the session that we decided to go with Shinn Historical Park in Fremont and the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge.  When we got to the park, I was so happy to see that there were still cherry blossoms all around.

San Francisco Presidio Portrait Photography (Sneak Peek) | The Guys from Homestead High School

Yesterday we spent the day in the Presidio at two different locations getting shots with David, Jason, and Tik.  We all went to the same high school and decided to do a portrait session since (1) it'll be something different, (2) it'll be fun to just get together, and (3) it'll be different and fun to shoot just guys for a change.  Here is a sneak peek of yesterday's session at one of the locations.

San Francisco Embarcadero Center Photography | San Francisco

On Tuesday I took BART in the morning to spend a little bit of time exploring the Embarcadero and Ferry Building areas of San Francisco.  I've lived in California all my life and have been to San Francisco many times, mainly for Chinatown, but I've never taken the time to walk around the other  parts of the area.

Walking through the Embarcadero Center, one of my favorite places was the spiraling stairs, which is my first time stumbling upon them.

After venturing through the Embarcadero Center I came around to the Vaillancourt Fountain.  Lucky me, the water was turned on this time.

My last stop was the Ferry Building.  While waiting for the lights to turn, I spotted a young couple holding hands while waiting to cross as well.  I think that it's really interesting to be a third person and people-watch sometimes as it makes you wonder what kinds of stories they have to tell.
